Developed from an original ‘50s staple pickup, our new Staple P-90 features hand beveled rectangular alnico bar magnets as non-adjustable pole pieces. Designed as a direct replacement in almost any Soapbar P-90 rout, using the typical mounting screws and springs, it can be installed in most Soapbar P-90 guitars with no modification to the instrument needed.
Tonal character lies somewhere between our Alnico Pole P-90; which leans towards more of a Fender-ish sound, and our traditional steel pole P-90; which has more grit and grind. The Staple has all the P-90 grind you would expect, but with more clarity and punch - outstanding tone!
