CIOKS Series Adapter Flex - 2200

By using two isolated outlets this series adapter Flex gives you the sum of voltages of the two isolated outlets used. This adapter cable should be used in combination with any of CIOKS standard Flex cables if want to power an 18V or 24V pedal. It gives you not only the higher voltage but also the possibility to choose the type of plug at the pedal end plus the length you need. The plug type and length is determined by the standard Flex cable used with the adapter Flex. If you’re looking for a simpler way to power an 18V pedal with a standard 5.5/2.1mm centre negative DC-plug (BOSS standard) please have a look at CIOKS Stack Flex.
Note: the series adapter Flex makes a series connection of the two outlets used. These two outlets must be isolated from each other. You get the sum of voltages and not the current (mA). If you use it with two 9V outlets with a 100mA rating each you’ll get 18V and still a max. current of 100mA. If you use it with two 9V outlets with 200mA each you’ll get 18V and max. 200mA. If you use it with two outlets rated to max. 200mA set to 12V you’ll get 24V and still max. 200mA.

Examples of usage:

Diamond Halo Chorus
This pedal needs a voltage in the range 18-24V to operate and draws a current just below 100mA. It needs a 5.5/2.1mm centre positive DC-plug (opposite polarity of BOSS standard) which you’ll find on CIOKS red type 2 standard Flex. By using two isolated 9V outlets with 100mA each available on any product from our professional range and a combination of the series adapter Flex and the red type 2 standard Flex you’ll be able to power this pedal.

Diamond Memory Lane This pedal needs a voltage in the range 18-24V to operate and a current below 200mA. It needs a 5.5/2.1mm centre positive DC-plug (opposite polarity of BOSS standard) which you’ll find on CIOKS red type 2 standard Flex. By using two isolated 9V outlets with 200mA max. current figure each and a combination of the series adapter Flex and the red type 2 standard Flex you’ll be able to power this pedal.

Powering two or three 18V pedals If you have two 18V pedals you can power them with only two 9V outlets and using a combination of the series adapter Flex and the Split Flex. Have you got three 18V pedals you’ll need the series adapter and the 3-way daisy chain to do the job. Remember that these two or three pedals will not be isolated from each other. Whether it’s two or three pedals you need to ensure that the sum of these pedal’s current draw figures (mA) is below the max. current rating of each two outlets you’re using to power them.
