Equipment first I guess.
Running into DSL 40CR on the clean channel, sacrilege I know but I love Marshall cleans.
Black Tele has Seymour Duncan quarter pounder set in there with 4 way switch to get series connection, quite bright and gutsy.
Green Tele I’ve just put a new fender neck on, switch pups out to Seymour Duncan hot rails with 4 way switch also.
Guitar can be a tad dark as I’m still only running 250k pots on it, I may try 500k in it at some time.
Epiphine Les Paul I think is probucker pups in it.
Strat is MIM HSS player series with Alnico 5 from memory.
Now the pedal.
Straight out of the box and on the board a little underwhelming if the truth be told.
Quite dark and muddy, favouring low to mids with a very flat top end, this was with the Strat so consider that’s the cleanest I’ve got how will it sound with the others ??
They do give you a recommend trim pot settings that I followed with the 1x 12 cab.
Still way to dark for my liking, starting to think a costly error on my part.
Went old school, backed off guitar volume to say 8 and tone the same, did the low to mid trim pot first just with strumming and roughly set to what sounded great, did the same with the sparkle which I think is a 6k pot.
Found what sounded good overall.
Went through the guitars one by one, fave overall by far is the Epi Les Paul, great low to mids with a crisp bitey top end which I like and that’s on any pup combination.
The Strat now sounds awesome with the new adjustments, very pleased that it’s still clean but roll that volume pot to max and it’s an insane beast.
Black Tele as always is a farking monster and the green one although still maybe a tad dark is next level beast mode on the pedal. With pots something like 28k in series it would be ( I’m not a low output pup kinda guy )
What do I like with the pedal, one it’s adjustability, the range is incredible and playing with four different guitars I’m sure you could fine tune it even more.
Sustain for days on any guitar, simply beautiful.
Low to mids and punchy and deep but not muddy at all.
Top end is the way I like it, crisp, without being ice picky as such.
Noise floor is not too bad with the one pedal on, if you combine with say a clean boost to it it comes on a little more, any dirt pedal I always go to noise suppressor, NS2 works for me nicely at my level.
Would I buy it again, oh yeah, I think this will cover my distortion needs for a very long time.
Previously tried Boss metalzone, metal core, PDF 2 parametric distortion, EQD gear also.
In hindsight these are mere toys to what this pedal can do.
It enhances whichever guitar you put thru it and highlights what the guitar can do thru this tone.
So yes I’m a very very happy camper.

Oh and the base settings I was running thru all the guitars can be see pictured in the board, so yes heaps of room either way to tweak the tone even more
