I bought the pedal because I wanted that scoop dumble sound even though I didn't know a lot about it. We are all different and approach purchases differently. With me I need to have it in my studio and play with it and work it out. First issue I found was that it was noisy especially at low volumes. Second thing I found was that I couldn't get that scoop sound. So I left it for a while and took it to an amp tech to have a look at it. We plugged it in and it sounded UNREAL! It gave me the sounds through his rig and there was no noise but we were playing it much louder and great power supply. So the first thing you need is a great power supply with no fluctuations. I put a battery in and it is fantastic from that end. The other thing to get that scoop is to play with the accent and attack in how you get that sound. And the boost is fantastic. No noise and I have the sweet spot. It is expensive and I think if I was different I would be trying out different pedals but although it took me a while it now lives on my fender twin solutions and it sounds great and gives me the steps in drive. Does it have that obvious scoop???? You need to work it with the amp and the guitar. Its a great pedal but you need to work out the settings for your rig. After initial frustration it now comes through in flying colours I love it.
