The Pitch Magpie is a delay-based polyphonic pitch shifter. Its three modes each integrate a different effect into the pitch shifter, allowing a huge range of sounds from only a handful of controls. It can be anything from a subtle random vibrato to a resonant lowpass on the verge of oscillation, and that’s before you add sparkling pitch shifting into the mix.
The user manual can be found at this link. It’s written in a similar style to our blog, and we really recommend giving it a look to get the most out of the pedal.
The dry path is all analog and totally transparent. The pedal also features a soft-touch footswitch and our “flexible” true bypass switching. And as with our other pedals, the Pitch Magpie uses a small 1590B enclosure with top-mount jacks. That takes up less space on a board than some “mini” pedals!
