Product Description

Octa is a digital octave stompbox for both guitarists and bassists. Two octave voices blend with dry level control and support polyphonic processing in the default mode, so playing a chord is absolutely no problem. And there is an additional DIRTY mode which simulates the classic analog octave pedals (single note processing and a different tone).

Good for guitar, not so much for bassReview by Tyson
I got this for my bass guitar, but although it tracks well, I don't think it has the best sound. I bought it primarily for the upper octave and I like my bass with a clean, fairly flat EQ. When I bought the power supply from my local music store (McCann's in Hobart) they asked if I wanted to test it, so we tried it on a guitar. When used with a guitar, it sounds great - almost like an organ when using it clean and with both octaves turned up.
The dirty switch is only really useful on guitar, as it changes OCT 2 to 2 octaves down, which is barely audible and only creates an unpleasant, muddy sound on bass. But guitar is fine. If you play with distortion, this pedal would be fine as well, as it masks the somewhat artificial sound it creates.
But if you're looking to get an organ-like sound from your guitar, this is a great little pedal: cheap, well made, barely uses any power and takes up a tiny space on a pedal board.
Also comes with two stick-on pads to keep it on a pedal board, either velcro or just a high friction surface (Posted on 22/06/16)
